Amaal Mallik On Fees In The Industry
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Amaal Mallik shares some insights about fees that actors and composers charge, he says, “Aisi clarity toh abhi abhi aayi hai, ek maine hi khud share kiya tha, Anirudh Ravichandar is the only composer jinhone 10-15 crore charge kiya tha per album, so acchi baat hai actors itna charge kar paa rahe hai. Magar 2020 se har ek cheez badli hai so budgets bhi upar, neeche hote hi rehete hai but, the music industry is seeing a very big growth, south industry, waha ki joh respect hai composers ko, it’s equal to a director.” (This kind of clarity has only come recently. I was the one who shared earlier that Anirudh Ravichander is the only composer who has charged 10-15 crore per album. So, it’s a good thing that actors are able to charge such amounts. However, since 2020, everything has changed, and budgets keep fluctuating. But the music industry is witnessing significant growth. In the South industry, the respect composers receive is equal to that of a director.)
He continued, “I think Bollywood me bhi soon something like that will happen, but ek disparity toh hai, yaha ke joh top composer hai, Pritam Da, he is also not charging this kind of money, I don’t know what he’s charging. So South producers ka ek conviction hai even when they come here they only work with their team. Aisa yaha unity thodi si kam hai.” ( I think something like that will happen in Bollywood soon as well, but there is still a disparity. Even the top composer here, Pritam Da, is not charging that kind of money—I don’t know what he’s charging. South producers have a certain conviction, and even when they come here, they only work with their own team. That kind of unity is a bit lacking here.)
